Just a quick question. Both my driver's side vents are badly cracked. I have replacements. Do I need to pull the Aux battery before just replacing them? Is there a risk of airbag deployment?
Nope but you need black insides from you're originals . Pulling the vents there's no way you could activate the airbags literally impossible. The vent on the passenger side there is a yellow plug behind it but you won't see it replacing the vent
I had replaced the vents on the 2006 before the engine blew after I put a new capacitor on the display. They are like a year old. Pulled them and plan to put them on the 2005.
I replaced the vents last night. I ended up breaking the old ones far worse getting them out but was okay. Did not consider them worth trying to save. Did notice the passenger size all the way to the right is cracked but not band enough to replace.
They're so cheap now like $69 for the set of four for new pliable plastic before I pull I have new on hand . I do all the work that can possibly be done with needing the vents out before I put the new vents in everything dash beepers immo box etc do once they go in it's off to 500K
