They should be able to supply something from an independent lab about their own product. For example, Medterra submits every third batch to an independent lab and publishes the results.

I treat these things with the same skepticism as we saw in the vitamin and supplement business in both the pharmacies and the pharmaceutical wholesalers I worked for in my career. Independent DNA testing routinely showed that what was on the label was not what was in the bottle. The one company that I never saw a bad result from was Nature Made. There's a good reason they are the only vendor sporting the USP quality control symbol on their vitamins and supplements.

    Rambling? Moi? HAHA

Well, I think I do sometimes -- but not feeling much like rambling. Lately, I feel lucky if I manage to walk without stumbling and falling.

I do have a brag, though. Last weekend I managed to change the oil and filter on the Prius. Only had to have a big strong blue-eyed man help put a couple of extra cranks on the jack (hmm, reading that phrase back it sounds a bit off-color, but it was not meant that way, I am going to leave it).

By the time I got to putting on the new filter, my hands were shaking pretty badly, which made it tough to engage the threads, but after about a LONG several minutes, I finally managed it. CHEERS!

And, I removed and tested several electrical outlets yesterday! I don't really know what the multimeter reading meant, but that is fodder for another post...

Maybe I am ready for rambling after all!

Still thinking the new CBD is really helping. Of course it may also be it's some seven months out and my body is saying "kris, you lazy malingering nice person, quit lazing around and lets get back to LIFE."

Well, I think the lazy malingering part might be the truth!! But, I am back at work, am taking the dogs for walks and doing lots of the normal things -- although not all of them :>(. Docs are also saying I probably need a hip replacement....what am I -- 80 years old.... HUH!!!

I think I will try to work through the pain before I go that route.

Rambling woman some nine months later.

I think the docs are right about the hip replacement being needed, but since I cannot afford it, maybe I should go back to the CBD....

But, I finally decided CBD did nothing to help.

Physicians and therapists say to try real marijuana -- not that it would heal anything, but pain would be lessened.

    1) My job says Marijuana = unemployment.

    2) I'm an old lady now. I don't want to be a 30-something junkie (HAHA)>

While I heard nothing but wonderful stuff about CBD for quite a bit, the folks that I knew who originally sang praises seem to have backed away now.

Anyone still thinking it is wonderful?

I'm no doctor or know alot about CBD or marijuana, but, it would seem the benefits of both are of neuroligical benefit, in other words, CBD and marijuana seems to lessen the pain coming from the nerves that are connected to your area of injury. My brother is on CBD, due to chronic back pain. He only takes it at night (to help him sleep) and only when the pain is unbearable. But, my brother has been seeing a Chiropractor and the sessions are working. How CBD and marijuana work in the long run to relieve pain will be a work in progress. My hope is that the just like with any other pain relief medication, the original dosage doesn't have to increase to relieve pain. I wish you the best as you trudge along for a solution!

Well, been seven years since I posted about CBD.

I finally concluded it did absolutely nothing for me and most friends that joined the circus of popularity after a few months quietly ended their support and use.

Still, some folks partake of it as a sleep aid and think it may help. Others I use know just use THC.

Again, I refrain from it all, including alcohol various fungi, kratom, as well as any of the others popular and legal, semi-legal or illegal.

Not risking health/freedom. Still do my vaccines though:)

But was surprised to read about the upcoming ban.

    Visiting Missouri for commercial quality:
    • CBD - no effect on my arthritis or perception
    • TCH - major effects, more sleeping and some reduced coordination. Neither improved the quality of my 76 year old life. More of a “time out” than anything else. Arthritis symptoms unchanged.
Of course, I am a sample set of one.

When I was between night school classes in the Marines, a joint helped ‘tune out’ (better than broadcast TV) but did nothing for my studies. Once working after the Marines, no help in shooting operating system bugs so lost interest in it. Now 76 years old, sleeping and stumbling around the rest of my days has no appeal.

    Wow.
Seven laps around the nearest star since this thread was launched.
My hinges are creakier and my body has seven more years worth of barnacles, door dings and buggy rash.

MY feelings towards CBC and THC remain unchanged because my experience with them is similarly unchanged.
Since then a college at work was diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer.
This was over 2 years ago, and somehow he is still not only with the living but STILL at work after an epic battle with cancer and an ongoing battle with the effects.
Better still, his exhaust system is still mostly OEM.

    Sidebar:
If anyone reading this is above the age of 45 and has not considered getting a colonoscopy?
GET ONE - or AT LEAST have a talk two doctors and with a chemo survivor.
    This isn't vaccines.
Colonoscopies aren't fun but they're also JUST ABOUT 100% effective and statistically safer than your drive to the medical center - although in some parts of America that is probably not quite a confidence builder. ;)

    OK....
    Back to CBDs.
    B. is a 'real' libertarian, which means we have 'real' interesting conversations at work.
I'm a libertarian with conservtive underpinnings, while B. entered the tent from the opposite end.
He once sent me a 4th of July photo featuring three assault rifles on an LGBT flag from a grandfather, father, son range session.
We had previously talked about decriminalization, legalization (pros and cons) and the efficacy of CBD.

He said something when he was diagnosed with what was then basically a death sentence that I haven't forgotten:
"I'm not going out in a cloud of marijuana smoke...."
That pretty much informed his battles with the big C, a campaign which resulted in the evisceration of his digestive tract. He's never detailed to me whether or not CBDs have moved the needles during those two years - but I'm thinking that they have not.

    TIFWIW.

If (when?) I get cancer myself I will probably try them both.
I will have low expectations with CBDs but they just might clear the bar - and they're nothing if not widely available!!

    HOWEVER (comma!!!)
Pills TERRIFY me and the "all natural, maaan!" crap that they're hawking in the dispensaries these days as about as "all natural" as an oil refinery, and it's effects are about as subtle and predictable as a White House press briefing - so I will tread VERY lightly with the post 2000 era Jazz Cabbage.

ONE pre-cancer, and mostly (for now) pain-free sample.
    YMMV.
