The current stock on the shelves are from the pre- Iran War prices.

The current grocery sales ads were made 2-3 weeks ago.

I went out this morning and stocked up.

Diesel now sells for over $5 a gallon today.

We’ve been keeping a large pantry since we got home in march 2021, and there wasn’t any food on the supermarket shelves

If you're going to let the internet do your thinking for you, perhaps you should ask yourself more questions.....

Like: Has diesel ever been $5 a gallon before now?

For extra credit: maybe search for how many people were running around with their hair on fire back then or maybe even HOW MUCH $5 today was worth in 2022??

(answer: $5 in 2022 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $5.56 in 2026, reflecting an 11.14% cumulative price increase over four years.)
