Hey everyone. After parking my Prius C outside for years some packrats seemed to fall in love with it this year and have been aggravating me to no end. Despite killing several of them they continually find my way into my engine bay where they have demolished my fender insulation, chewed through an ABS sensor wire and one of my headlight wires. I have been able to splice those but last night they chewed through one of the wires on the 6-pin EGR wires up to the plug. That gets me to the main question of this post, does anyone know the part number or plug type for that 6-pin wire that goes into the EGR module sitting just behind the engine? I'm thinking of just getting a pigtail and popping out one of the terminals/pins to splice into the harness, but I might just replace the whole plug if it is too much of a hassle.
This link can show you how to access the factory repair manual and interactive wiring diagram. Might be cheapest just to clip a pigtail out of a crashed one. car-part.com is a database of auto recyclers, you'd be able to figure out who has a same-year car to raid for parts. Don't forget to paint it with mustard, hot sauce, cat urine or some combo. You can also get anti-rodent electrical tape; Tractor Supply stocks it.
^ This. Where that page describes the wiring diagram, it also links to posts that demonstrate how to use that diagram to find a connector and then its part number and the part numbers for the terminals in it.
