Stopped at Pilot Flying J at Hayti MO for a ‘sanity’ charge and saw a couple with a new Model 3. One asked if they could get a charge at the GM. CCS-1 charger? I told them I would help after bathroom break and let’s chat in the fast food restaurant. Two week owners, I told them about the CCS-1 adapter; PlugShare; Tesla Owner’s and InsideEV, and; the EV, ABCs (Always Be Charging.) I also shared other EV tricks. By then, i had enough charge. So I had them stop my charging and use my adapter to get a charge. Later on my way to Memphis, range on a cold night was getting low so I used the new Pilot Flying J, another GM CCS-1, in West Memphis. It only had CCS-1, brand new, and no CHAdeMO. With four independent charging plugs, couldn’t one be a Tesla? I also noticed they are expensive compared to Superchargers, almost double the kWh rate. For a bridge the gap, minimum charge, OK but not an affordable cross country. Bob Wilson
