Getting into the thermostat display cover

    At some point after I had some work done, I noticed that there is a hair or something as well as some smudges in the INSIDE of my thermostat display cover and i drives me nuts. How difficult is it to get in there to remedy this?

    Even without a smudge or hair, that display is ridiculously difficult to read on mine. Yours looks pretty clear.

    Been a while since I did it, but I don't remember any more than maybe 5 easy no-tool steps to pop that HVAC display out.

    Disassembling it once it's out, that I've never tried.
