Hey, I just purchased a 2026 Prius Plug in, upgraded from a 2021 Prime. Does the new car have a charging setting for when I depart, similar to the 2021?
I believe it does. I charge at night when it's cheaper (in Canada). You can set up a schedule through the app as well:
Yes, it does and it works. Used it a couple of times just to tried it out and now I disable it. Charging stops by itself when it is full so I don't even bother with scheduling.
Just as a clarification, while there is a charging schedule, there is not an option to set a departure time and have the car work backwards from it. You only have the option to set a window for charging where the car will begin charging at the start of the window and stop at the end (or when full). The biggest difference is the ability to always depart at the same charge level in the morning regardless of starting charge level when plugging in at night.
