I am at my wits end. I have scoured the web for anything relating specifically to removing the steering wheel of a 2020 or Gen4 Prius, and while I find many videos on removing steering wheels in general or gen2-3 Prius steering wheels, there is a dearth of info on Gen4. I do find some that talk about it, and I have cobbled together enough to remove the upper and lower shrouds on the steering column, but instructions diverge after that point. I have the Toyota repair manual--which says useful things like "disengage clips"--and have watched numerous videos, but here is my sticking point: just how do you remove the steering wheel airbag? Mine appears to not have the side clips (no panel on the left side and no visible clip on the right). It does have the three holes in the rear, but no amount of fiddling with a flat blade screwdriver or allen wrench seems to connect and push a latch in. I don't know if you should feel the latch move easily or if it is spring loaded. I don't know the optimal tool to use--and commercial tools don't seem to be made for this car. In any case, I am unable to pull off--or even budge--the airbag/horn other than the normal play in it to honk the horn. (I did disconnect the battery first.)

Perhaps I should back up. My goal is to remove the headlamp stalk switch, which appears to be at fault for not reliably turning on the high beams when clicked forward. The momentary pull back does work. This is another point where instructions say to remove it after loosening screws or clips (I find no screws, and a plethora of clips) and pull toward the steering wheel but they say that removing the steering wheel is not necessary. I don't see how that's possible as it is one piece--hence the need to remove the steering wheel. If anyone can point me to some good information on this process--preferably a good video--I would be most appreciative.
