So my solar covers half of my electric bill, about $0.06/kWh net. Since I get about 5 mi/kWh around town, I’m running close to $0.01/mile.

Too bad I hadn’t heard about the “Golden Egg Goose” mutual fund.

The cheapest I remember was 18 cents/ gal at a Fina in Trenton, MO. My car was a Saab 3 cyl two stroke that I put one qt of hd30 to 8 gals of gas. Or Saab sold their oil which mixed at 50:1 instead of 32:1. I carried quarts of Wolfs Head in the trunk. Today it’s $4.87 at Costco.

 

We have a lot of pelicans that do the dramatic landing and slow motion launch from the lagoon opposite the house block ..... none of them appear to wear briefs, although, I can't say I've ever seen one without it's coat of feathers, so, maybe .....

Is there a glossary of terminology so I can decode this post?

I do enjoy cruising past the fuel stations and those driving a 90km/h in the 110 zone to save fuel, just plug the MG4 in again when we get home and those fuel refineries on the roof refill the tank .... gotta love solar/house batteries and electric vehicles ..... We can use all that money we saved to make a down payment on a grocery shopping trip .....

Gas is now at or below $3 USD for one US Gallon.
Oil futures are quoted by the Googles as below $70 USD.

It's been a lot cheaper.
It's been a lot more expensive.

At $3 or less I stop paying attention to the price - but then, my commute is about 2 miles so most of my fuel use is recreational.

That's about as simple as I can make it.

 

Thank you, I can understand it now. What do they call it when you buy futures low and sell them high? Looking at the way the rest of the world is struggling with oil prices, that just looks manipulated to me .... it's not like oil movement through the Straits of Hormuz is back to prewar numbers, that will take mths to sort out, even if everything everything was smiles and handshakes. Israel hasn't called a halt to their aggression, they need to eliminate all who could simply move in and stamp them out ..... so things haven't been sorted over there at all ....
