Has anyone used the Autel MaxiAP2000 to bleed brakes post actuator-swap?

isn't this bleeding the actuator? albeit in a unorthodox way?

That is loosening one of the few flare nuts that connect steel lines to the outside of the actuator and watching some air bubbles come out.

There are still not as many flare-nut connections on the outside of the actuator as there are places on the inside of the actuator that can have air trapped behind electrically-operated valves.

A lot of people, for whatever reason, seem to invest endless mental effort coming up with such-and-such they could do instead of having the brake ECU open the right valves at the right times, and convincing themselves that doing such-and-such is just as good.

In some cases—say, a really remote location where getting hold of any suitable scan tool would be really hard or really expensive—it would be easy to see why someone would resort to that (though not why they, also, would try to convince themselves it's just as good).

In places where a suitable tool isn't that hard to get, the effort invested is harder to explain.

well I'm just trying to get as much info as possible via youtube prior to actually doing it. never done it before and I want to make sure everything is planned before I start so no surprises (like 12v battery dying for example).
