Sorry if this has been reported before. I live in MD and we have regular emissions inspections every 2 years. So I today, waited in line for 30 minutes and was then told that they do not test the Prius. I had to go to the office. They wrote a waiver for the car. Hope this saves someone some time. Just go straight to the office and get the waiver. Lou
Technically, we're not supposed to be sent the VEIP notices - we're simply supposed to be exempt. However - the MD VEIP program isn't exactly the most organized program - and they do all sorts of silly things. You should be able to get the inspection request canceled over the phone.
