My car (2023 Prius prime) popped up a check engine light plug in charging system failure message on the info system and it keeps blinking. Repair is scheduled for Wednesday. Is there a way to dismiss this message as it keeps blinking and I find it annoying while driving. I press the back arrow and it disappears for about 30 seconds before it comes back.
Was it hot / you were charging in the direct sun? Mine did this last summer, had the charger replaced. Re: message - try to live with it. I cleared the check engine and the dealer refused to fix it even though the error was in history. So I had to go and charge it again in the sun to pop the check engine again. Good news is that since the charger replacement (the internal one in the car) for free by the dealer it hasn't happened since and it's brutal hot this summer.
It was hot even overnight. I wonder if one of those reflective shields would help. It was the fan that failed for me and they had to order the part. Was covered under the extended warranty
