    Hello everyone,

My Social Problems professor was involved in a minor traffic accident and her passenger side taillight is in shambles and needs to be replaced. I volunteered to fix it for her. I took out all of the light connections but I couldn't push it out. Is there a wingnut or a bolt that I am missing???

Just the light and not the housing?

The Owner's manual has a section called "Do It Yourself Maintenance" that discusses bulb replacement. That starts on page 304 of the '05 manual, and on page 418 of the '06 manual and '07 manual. I don't see anything special. It looks like it's showing a ccw twist of the lights (and I'm guessing that's for removal, but don't know).

If she has the Owner's manual, take a look at it before forcing anything. But I assume you know that.

Thank you very much. I bookmarked the writeup, so Thursday I'll be testing it out. Seems simple enough.

Camaro taillights though are the easiest. Pull back cloth, 3 plastic wingnuts and you're done :D

It sounded like he wants to take the whole housing out and replace it. The pages in the manual are for just the bulbs. I would also like to know how to take the housing out. I've tried but don't see any obvious way to do it. So if someone knows please post how to do it.

Social Problems is a class that involves the strains that affect society. Involves environmental issues, social issues, poverty, terrorism, etc....

I tried removing the driver's side taillight and removed all the bulbs, only to find out my teacher ordered the wrong side taillight  . Oh well, I guess Toyota will be doing it. They'll probably charge quite a bit for that kind of install, even though in all it looks fairly easy.

Now that gas is hitting $3 in CA, and NY, is Teach's car any more interesting, or, how rich are you?

I don't have anything against the Prius at all. There are two things that are holding me back from buying one though:

    1. I am in college and can only afford 1 car, and am not selling mine.
    2. I get 29MPG on the highway, and still am packing 400+ horsepower :D
