Sorry to do this but it's for a good cause.... I'm riding a bicycle 85 miles to help raise fund to fight Multiple Sclerosis, and I'm shamelessly asking the Priuschat community to sponsor me. I am also matching your donations dollar-for-dollar (up to $300) because this is really important to me. If you want to help out, please click here --> http://www.nationalmssociety.org/goto/randreed If you are in the area and want to join the team, that would be great too. Thanks in advance, Rand

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rand Reed @ May 10 2007, 07:23 PM) </div> Most welcome. Have fun with your Road Dogs. Wildkow, I have a rack of idle systems downstairs I'm sure I could fire up for this. I've done this for astronomy projects, but it's been a little while. I'll get to this over the weekend.

Now I'm just kinda searching around for something new but now that Political Correctness has intruded into the avatar realm all the fun has been sucked out. <_< Wildkow p.s. FYI the makingdemoncrats avatar went away well before PC for avatar's reared it's head.
Oh. I almost was going to make a joke about it getting censored. btw I wouldn't have figured out the making dems av if you hadn't have told me.
Holy Cow! (no offence Wildkow) Thanks you guys! I am really amazed at the generosity of this whole community!
Rand... i can't offer anything in the way of money but i want to wish you the best of luck in your ride and thank you for taking your time (and your own money!) doing this.
Thanks everyone for your wonderful support and words of encouragement. There has been an interesting happening on the side - it seems that there are a number of people in the NYC Metro area who might all be interested in forming a Priuschat Cycling Team for one of the fall bike rides. I will post on another thread AFTER this ride is done to see how many want to actually do this - it would be REALLY cool to have a bunch of Prii all lined up with bike racks and some cool Synergy jerseys! C-ya later....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rand Reed @ May 10 2007, 10:52 AM) </div> The big ride is this Saturday and I still cannot get over the wonderful support from the Priuschat community! When I last checked this morning, we raised $1275 for this corthy cause. Do you think we can reach $1500 before Saturday?
Thanks for bumping up the topic again, I had neglected to do this, and you reminded me ... I used to do these rides (for Juvenile Diabetes and for MS) - never got to do the 150 miles 2-day MS one, which I regretted...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ZenCruiser @ May 18 2007, 11:03 AM) </div> Thanks Zencruiser, There is a ride in NNJ this fall and it looks like we have enough people interested to form a Priuschat Cycling team. Would you join us there in the fall? Rand
Thank you all for supporting me! We met another rider there with a Prius (parked next to us) who were admiring the bike rack. I really think we have enough people in this area for a Prius Cycling Team. [attachmentid=8258] [attachmentid=8259] [attachmentid=8260]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rand Reed @ May 18 2007, 01:29 PM) </div> I'd love to. However, the reality is that after 10 knee surgeries and the prospect of a double knee replacement looming on the horizon, the only two-wheeler I'm able to ride for more than a few miles now is my motorcycle. And you guys wouldn't be able to keep up
