I got my new shark fin antenna and step 1 is: remove old one. Well, the whip part unscrews easily--but what about the base? How do you get that off?

The Shark Fin fits on top of the base, where you unscrew the antenna, you screw in the bolt and the metal O with the wire. Never done it before, and it took all of 10 mins to install. Get someone to ensure it's aligned straight before you undue the waxed paper to glue to the roof. Then use masking tape to mark on both sides where to glue, remove waxed paper, and place in between the masking tape lines.

The shark fin antenna fits over the base, and comes with a screw that fits into the same hole from whence you unscrewed the whip. (Mmm. That sounds strangely kinky, but I don't know why )
