So I have developed a chirp over bumps (exterior underneath), the dealer has had car for eight days and they cannot locate the source. They have tried microphone arrays and consulted Toyota, all to no avail. While it's not a safety issue, it is most annoying. Any thoughts on what direction to go would be appreciated. Thanks...Dan.
A chirp, or a clank? I've had a sort of clank slowly developing over the last 20,000 miles or so, and at this point I think the rear struts are going but I *still* can't 100% locate it. Been under there pounding on things with rubber mallets, inspecting the crap out of it, etc. The car still tracks dead true, so it's not anything critical coming loose, and I'm hoping I'll *eventually* locate what's up with this thing.. . _H*

It turned out that the chirp disappeared when I had the struts replaced. I could have sworn the noise came from lower than the struts but.....
