I went to my mileage site and posted there, and then I went to hybridcars.com and posted... some very nice person replied and let me know that it was the site, not me. Or else Tideland Prius decided that it was just a joke, after all...

Okay okay. Calm down everyone. As a joke, I went ahead and banned everyone for a day. You know, just to see if I could. Good fun, right guys? Guys? (just kidding. it wasn't me. I swear.)
So, a "hacker" (not really, probably a script kiddie with limited brainpower) found a weakness in the software. So was it just a case of "showing off" or did he/she have the wherewithall to collect our passwords as we tried to log in? Just something to think about.
I've had a couple of warnings for being a little too passionate in the past so I was wondering what I did to get banned. Thanks for the work getting the site up again to all concerned.

Just so you all know, any established member that gets banned will get a notice telling you why and for how long...there shouldn't be any surprises. Usually you'll get a warning first anyway, but if you do something just blatantly bad we'll give you a PM or e-mail telling you what you did, why we suspended you, how long you're suspended, and how you need to change your behavior when you come back. Seems a bit juvenile I know, but we don't want there to be any gray area or question about expectations.
