Hey guys, someone is selling me a 2004 Prius Pkg 7, blue, 46k miles, very clean, original owner, no California HOV sticker, new tires. Asking $15,200. What do you think? Is this a go or no go? Thanks.
Have you checked the private party sales for like cars with Yahoo Bluebook or a similar online website?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Oct 26 2007, 09:15 PM) </div> Yes. Kelly Bluebook goes like this: Trade-in, Excellent cond. $15,525 Trade-in, Good, $14,600 Trade-in, Fair, $13,000 Private-Party sale, Excellent cond, $18,050 Private-party sale, good cond, $17,025 Private party sale, fair cond, $15,645 I estimate the vehicle to be in excellent cond. And assuming it were only in "good cond"., the selling price is still $1,800 below the private party sale blue book value and just $600 over trade-in price. Car is fully paid, title is at hand. Package # 7 - Rear Intermittent Wiper, Curtain/Side impact airbags, Smart Entry and Start, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Fog lamps, and HID and Headlamp Leveling I have until tomorrow at 9am to get it. Please give me your feedback ASAP. Because there's a couple of guys who came to look at it a few minutes behind me, and I thought it was such a good buy, I plunked a $200 deposit. We all came 1 hour after it was advertised on Craigslist. I am willing to forfeit the $200 if you folks think differently and can give me a good argument. I test drove it and compared to the 2008 that I drove, the 2004 is not as smooth- kinda bumpy. It could be the tire pressure, or 2004s have a different suspension, I don't know the exact reason. But that's about it. Everything else about the car is looking like new. It is blue in color- which is not on top of my list- I'd rather have white or the barcelona red. Come on, give me your thoughts! Time is running out on me.

on the same note how does this one look, its not a touring model... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...368282&rd=1
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(lefat1 @ Oct 27 2007, 08:14 AM) </div> correct. NO hov. Is is still a good deal?
Oh, sorry, I went up and scanned the post to see if it said "HOV"...saw the initials but didn't look to see if it said "with" or "No" in front of it. I'd say average deal, but I'm not from your area as Isr. is.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Oct 27 2007, 05:25 PM) </div> Yes, got the car. Yee-hah! Drives and runs well. Very, very clean, inside and out. Looks brand new. Thanks for your responses, priuschatters I'm very happy with the purchase. Previous owner just bought an '08 Prius, that's why he had to sell the '04.

Chances are it has been covered in detail - and more than a few times. Yes, you can turn off the backup beep. No, that 'pssssssst' and funny whirring sound you hear after you turn the car is not an indication of a problem. Does the car look better with or without the plastic wheel trim? >>>>> That's subjective.
SilverBell, great to have another Prius owner on board and you know you got a good one when the only car the previous owner could find that was better was a brand new car just the same!! It kind of shouts happy with cherries on top I think. Enjoy and keep us up to date with your impressions. Psst, there is a draw under the front cup holder, don't tell anyone, it's a secret.
