"mod squad"...I like it! I think this could have gone to either section. I'll leave it in pancakes unless and until it degenerates into something more appropriate for the political forum. But I admit I'm darn suprised...I figured the gov't was full of it too with the head hit the car claim.
Our local news reported the same thing, that she hit her head on a lever ducking back inside the car; but it was the force of the blast that caused her to hit her head on the lever while retreating to the car's interior. Anyway, her enemies accomplished what they were after: her death.
I think the point her supporters were trying to make was that they had requested more security and the government refused it. Had there been more security, the gunman who was also the suicide bomber would not have been able to get close enough for the blast to have the impact that it did. It's all hindsight. She's dead and blame won't bring her back. What remains to be investigated is who was really behind it. Al Qaeda may have taken credit, but I haven't read any proof of that. I'd like to see more information on who the assassin was, what his ties were and what his motivation was.
