Hi Tochatihu, glad you enjoyed it. The only other details they show is after you have compared say 3 vehicles, then on the upper right of the website is a section "more comparisons". You could look there, but I haven't found anywhere on the site that breaks down the real cost, if that is what you were looking for. Is the Prius popular in China ?
I think it would help to start with real numbers. I don't know what the 2006 mpg ratings are for a Taurus, but the 2007 is 18city/28 hiway. I really doubt.....no I'm sure you buddy's Taurus does not average "30 mpg". That sounds more like his best day mileage to me.
Not really wanting to jump into this particular fray, just weighing in on the above comment and going onto say that I've sometimes felt like Demosthenes wandering the streets with a lamp looking for "one honest man" where it comes to most folk's mileage claims. If a Taurus "averages" 30 mpg, I'll eat it. Kinda like I'll eat my friend's Ford F-350 with Triton V10 which he claims gets "about 20". Yeah, right. My point being that I suspect we could deduct about 30% (or more) from most people's mileage claims (excepting Prius drivers, I'll add:angel:, who are righteous and scrupulously honest!) and come to something more vaguely resembling the fact-of-the-matter.
