I would like to direct your attention to Google adsense ads for devices that are supposed to increase your gas mileage using water. This is nothing but snake oil and bad science. I consider Priuschat a reliable source of quality information regarding driving in a more eco friendly way and as such I would like to request that Priuschat filter out ads for such bogus devices. I did it with my website. It's easy: - Log into your adsense account on Google at adsense.google.com - Select the Adsense setup tab - Select Competitive Ad Filter I entered the following URLS into the filter box: easywatercar.com fuel-rebel.com fuellesspower.com runyourcarwithwater.com water-4-fuel.com water4gas.com waterdriven.com waterfuelcell.org Voila! no more ads for rubbish that don't work. Tell your friends. Tell everybody who admin a website to block these people. Thanks
I'm gonna get my prius to run on "Dihydrogen Monoxide"...I don't care how dangerous they say that stuff is... Facts About Dihydrogen Monoxide Each year, Dihydrogen Monoxide is a known causative component in many thousands of deaths and is a major contributor to millions upon millions of dollars in damage to property and the environment. Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are: Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities. Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage. Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects. DHMO is a major component of acid rain. Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns. Contributes to soil erosion. Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals. Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits. Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes. Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions. Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks. Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S. Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect. Nasty stuff I say!!!
I think the answer is Google Ads is a package - some are good - some are bad. It pays the bills. If some of the ads are that offensive, the alternative is the PC members help Danny pay for keeping the site up - want to do that?
I think for the most part, the members of PriusChat are intelligent enough to make their own decision on whether to pursue Dihydrogen Monoxide technology. However, I can't say that for the vast majority of websites out there. Honestly, though, you can't always protect everyone.
But... if you clicked on it, that means the ad worked and PC made money, right??? Hmm....:decision: :help: I definitely see what you're talking about. I'll add them to our filter and we'll see what happens. I don't think those ads help any of our visitors. While they are supposed to be there to support the site, we want advertisers that are credible and pertinent.
You forgot to mention that DHMO has been detected in our lakes, rivers, oceans, and even our drinking water!
