After spending a whole lot of time searching and reading forums I finally took the plunge. I am now the proud owner of a 2008 Seaside Pearl package 6. I love it!! Right now there are too many things to learn but while I am reading the small novel (aka owner's manual) I am getting great gas mileage. I drive just over 50 miles one way to work and the first day got 44.3mpg and the next got 49.7 mpg one way and 44.3 mpg on the way back. It is 'all' good! Looking forward to spending more time on this website and 'personalizing' (pimp my ride) my Prius.
Could not get back sooner to respond. Anyhow, thanks for the invite to 'bastahn'. I have a long weekend this weekend which means three days 'to not drive to bastahn'. My commute is from here (home) to there each day and it is often hard to get me to drive back there on days off! I actually already had plans for the day or I probably would have driven down again. It is always fun to spend time with people that share the same interest/addiction to their car. Being a previous VW owner, the car 'cult' thing is well known and appreciated by me. Drives with fellow owners can also be fun. Anyhow, thanks for the welcome and hope to spend more time and learn all kinds of things about my new car from this website. Thanks everyone!
