I've been thinking about organizing an Eco-car show, or car meet. I used to go to many of the motorcycle nights around south florida, and they are a great way to exchange ideas, mods, and meet new people. I also want to show other folks that eco-cars can be cool too!!! I would love to have Prii, as well as other hybrids, diesels, and other ecological vehicles... maybe even scooters or motorcycles. Anyone interested, email me back. We can use the lot at my restaurant in Weston.
Check out the cruise-in piece of my Hybridfest report from last year. They made a whole hybrid section, right in front of the restaurant. I'm not sure if that was the right or wrong way to do it, instead of mixing them all up; the way it was done allowed the muscle-car heads to walk right by and head for the other lots. But overall it was cool, and we all answered many questions. . If it gets started and you're still doing it come next December, I'm so there! . _H*
It is an organic pizza restaurant, but we have pizza, salads, sandwiches, and organic beer, wine, and beverages. It's located in the Flanigans plaza in Weston, FL. Right at Royal Palm and Weston Rd.
Hey Hobbit, Looks like that was a great event. I would love to get something like that going on down here once a month.
I used to be member of a VW club there in South Florida (Palmetto Bugs) and we had month meetings at different spots. We would usually meet up on a Sunday morning either at a church or middle school parking lot then drive to different restaurants each month. We would get 20 to 30 Volkswagens on the road, from old 50s Beetles to newer VWs. I thought the drive to the restaurant was half the fun, rather than just showing up somewhere to eat.
