I am afraid of the same thing! Good thing my wife is afraid to drive "my" new car. She is afraid to drive it because it is new, she knows how much I love it, and she is in the clumsy stage of pregnancy.
.....you were warned about this John..........looks like you're going to lose it in the next couple of months, better get another one methinks.
You are right about my warning. Good thing is that she still complements her car, so I think I am still safe. Her main fear was that she was overwhelmed about driving a car that requires some training.
My GF once claimed that she didn't know how to drive my car (although she actually drove it home from the dealership when we had to pickup the truck that I had left behind). Then a couple of weeks ago, she announced that she should learn how to drive it "just in case". I'm not biting; I think she is getting tired of paying for the mid grade gas required for the Avalon. :der:
You might want to test drive a Nissan Hybrid Altima. I would have loved to have gotten one but you can only get them in California or the East Coast. No one would work on one here if we had purchased one. So instead, we got the Prius which my husband and I both love. You might want to rent one for a week and see if your wife would like it after that.
Well since the Altima is a Prius hybrid system bought from Toyota, you would still have a Prius, just without the mileage of a Prius.
oh come on man! clear as a bell, but your foot down, get yourself the prius and let her drive whatever she wants. i went from a very nice 06 caddy sts V8 that my wife loved to a 08 prius #6 and although she was hesitant at first, she now loves our new prius. furthermore, we can take a look into our crystal balls about the future, but all that is pure speculation. from what i hear, the pri III is going to be a plug in hybrid........... get the prius, you'll love it.
Were you referring to me? I purchased my Prius on 12/31/2007. After seeing the tiny trunk of the Altima at the auto show I decided to go with the practicality and proven reliability of the Prius.
I don't suppose test driving a new wife is an option???? Oh well, ask her to pay for all the gas, at 4 bucks and climbing she just might rethink!! Good Luck I love my Prius, so does my wife. I might just keep her. The wife too!!! 73 de Pat KK6PD
