Im just getting around to installing the passenger Volvo seat in my prius. I found out the wires are different from the drivers. I see a module that goes to weight sensors (4). Is there any way to blockoff this sensor so I dont have to remove them from the oem seat and move them over?
I used another 2 ohm resistor, same as used for the air bag, into the plug for the weight sensor. This made the passenger icon on the dash light up, I then used a seat belt extension, free from the dealership, to make the car think it was seat belted up ( I use a different seatbelt). My results from trial and error.
So you moved over the wire harness that plugs into each weight sensor and used a 2 ohm in each weight socket (all 4)? My weight sensor module on the seat has an 12 pin socket that plugs into a control module and then the seat.
The seat sensor plug has 3 pins. Did you hook the resistor from the center to one of the two outside pins on each of the 4 seat sensors?
Sorry for the slow response, my 04 prius ,on the passenger seat, has a weight sensor pad, the plug into it has only two wires, which I simply 'connected' with one resistor.
