When the car is stopped and I get out (or push down on the body), I can hear the suspension squeak. I imagine this happens when I'm driving too, but I can't hear it then. I seem to recall this happening on an old Mazda too, but the Prius only has 9500 miles on it. Should I be concerned?
I wouldn't be too concerned, probably just a dry bushing, but since it's still new, have the dealer fix it for free rather than worry about it.
so does the prius have control arm bushings? hm i notice the squeak too when i push down on the rear bumper on rear passenger side. As well going up while turning right I really hear the sound... any hills with turning I'll hear the squeak, sometimes in the front or back... hmmm.....
Mine squeaks or (more accurately) creaks when I get into it. Which is weird as it's 2 months old and I'm pretty light. Haven't heard it any other time. It hasn't really bothered me but I'll probably mention it when I bring the car in for an oil change in a month or so.
