I've hit a snag in in my setups. Just got my 08 Prius yesterday and have been busy setting up all the goodies. My bluetooth is working great with the phone. I can make and receive calls and the connections are excellent. HOWEVER, I have had no success in transferring my address book from the phone to the car. I have gotten to the point where the transfer screen comes up and it says to have the phone send the address book, but for the life of me, I can't find such a feature on my phone. I have the LG EnV from Verizon. I have been able to send over 10 contacts with something called a personal card??? But the limit is 10. Am I missing something?
I almost bought an LG phone until I found out that the address book won't transfer to the Prius. I bought a RAZR2 instead.
OK, so it just won't do it? I feel a bit better then because I thought I was just too stupid to figure it out!
Thanks Lumpy, I checked the link and according to that, my phone is supposed to be able to do this and pretty much everything else, so what do I do now?
I looked up the LG vx9900 env with verizon wireless and with the Prius having the navigation system. These are the instructions to follow for the features: http://toyota.letstalk.com/brands/toyota-bt/pdf/280_05Navi.pdf
Thanks man! I appreciate you taling the time to do this. I ran out to the car and followed the instructions and it worked. I had actually gotten that far and was able to get 10 contacts transferred last night but since there is a 10 number limit, I was stuck. I thought there'd be a simple button along the lines of "send phone book". All the group/no group stuff threw me. It's a clunky operation, but at least its done now. Thanks again.
I don't remember which one of the LG models it was (ATT) but it WOULD NOT transfer the address book. My RAZR2 works great though, so I am probably "almost" as happy as you are
