Houston Hybrid & Hypermilers Club (aka H³C) Basic discussions about hybrids and techniques to maximize fuel efficiency (both hybrid and non-hybrid). Sat, Jun 14th @ Noon La Salsa Restaurant, Cypress Texas (Houston Cy-Fair) 15202 Mason Rd (Northwest Houston Metro Area) I'll either get some fliers up on the table I'm at, or try to get the banquet hall in the back of the restaurant. La Salsa is just inside the Fairfield subdivision. Mason road is after Mueschke if on 290 westbound and after Bauer if on 290 eastbound. Google Map Google Maps Agenda -General Hybrid discussions over lunch -Driving Clinics Hybrids: -2007 Toyota Prius with EBH and Factory EVb -2006 Ford Escape Hybrid. There are a few other places to eat if you want some other food. I'll have my ScanGauge (fuel consumption display) so we can hook it up to your car to see real-time fuel usage. It works on most cars made after 1995. One thing that helps is knowing your engine size (displacement). This is usually represented in liters, cubic centimeters or cubic inches. An example would be a Mustang 5.0L V8. I've created a new domain for the group called 106mpg.com. David has also created HoustonHybridsClub.com Website: 106mpg.com - Driving Clinics Email: [email protected] Meetings will always be held on the second Saturday of each month. Alright less than a day to go for the big meet. Let me know if you have any questions. I know there was a bit of trouble finding the place last month. Here's my number through GrandCentral. You put in your number and GrandCentral will bridge the call. It's free. Hope to see everyone there. 11011011
I went to the Houston Hybrid and Hypermilers Club meeting today and had a great time. Dan is an awesome guy who knows tons of stuff about how to get every piston's worth of fuel out of your hybrid. He took the time to hook up his scangauge to both his car and mine for comparison and showed me some neat tips on how to extend FE in my Camry. It was also cool to be able to check out and compare both a first and second generation Prius as well as a Mercury Mariner Hybrid to my Camry. It's definitely worth the time. Check it out next month if you get a chance!eace:
I've had a 06, 07 and now a 08 prius. I live near lake conroe - is there a group that meets in the north of houston? Sounds like alot of fun just a longggggggg drive. [email protected] 936-524-2172
Sorry... No north-north, only north-west. I think there is an A&M prius group though if your an aggie alumni. Think Bryan may be a bit further to drive though. 11011011
