I was looking around on Ebay yesterday and came across an 07 Prius for sale. The auction number is 190232466589. There are lots of pictures, but the problem is that the picture of the MFD looks like the older style. It sure doesn't look like the one in my 07. Is it just me, or maybe someone else can take a look and see what you think. Only 20 days till Hybridfest.
Well, has the MFD style changed within the NHW20 series? It's definitely not the NHW11 style. And there are a couple of later pics that definitely show it in context of the rest of the car. And the eighth digit from the right in the VIN is a 7, indicating 2007 MY. My guess is the seller *isn't* interested in the world of hurt that would result from selling a car with a different VIN than in the listing. I suppose you could run a history on the VIN just in case it was wrecked and rebuilt with other parts, but it doesn't seem likely. Looks like a nice car to me.... -Chap
I have an '07 Pkg 4... When I look at the MFD head-on, it looks funny. But when I look at the picture taken from the driver's perspective, it looks 'normal'... I'm going to have to go outside and look at it from head-on. Maybe I've just never noticed that the text looks so blocky.
i deciphered the screens once and posted a message here back in feb 2007 and if u look at your manual there are like 3 types of displays.. if you have a base prius or possibilty option packages 1 and 2 you do not get the high resolution graphics on the mfd type 1 = navigation, bluetooth, or cd changer type 2 = handsfree bluetooth with no navigation type 3 = base no cd changer no aux in type 3 is the "low resolution", 1 + 2 are the "enhanced resolution" displays type 3 does not have steering wheel controls (phone keys + map + info
I saw an 06 Prius on auto.com last week for $7900. with 56K miles on it. There was a picture of it. Looked good. Was it a flood car? Salvage title? don't know. That's about half the retail value. It wasn't there the next day.
it looks like the MFD of the pre 2006 models but i have read here that in the usa the base model after 2005 got the pre 2006 mfd.
I have a narrow driveway I have to back uphill to get out, and I don't find the camera very helpful. You still have to turn around and look out the rear window to stay straight. The smartkey and stability control are more important options in package 2. And worth the price.
Hawaii Craigslist had a 2005 listed a couple days ago for $5200. IIRC it had about 45K miles on it. The listing disappeared the next day... I suspect it was snapped up before lunch.
Possibly true (to each his own), but smartkey and stability control are not outwardly apparent from looking at photos of the car. We're discussing the possible trim level of the eBay car, not the pros/cons of different features.
OK guys I'm back. My car is 2007 with package one and the display is not the same as the one on Ebay. Not a big deal, but I couldn't help and notice the difference. The first picture is the one on Ebay and the second one is a picture of mine.
I have a 2007 with the display on the left. It's because I have a Base package, no Nav, etc. If you read the Owner's Manual, you will see the pictures that show the difference, based upon the package of your car. Seriously.
