OK, this floor mat business is confusing. I took out my beige carpeted mats and replaced them with Rubbermaid all-weather mats a few months ago, mainly because they were cheap and they made them in beige (the Toyota OEM all-weather mats only come in black). But the weather's gonna turn wet soon and I'm hoping to upgrade to mats with a bit better coverage. The Rubbermaids cover the area fairly well, but it was a bit awkward getting a good fit on the driver's side (in the end, I ended up trimming it too narrow). I'd ultimately prefer to get mats that have the clip holes because the Rubbermaids also tend to (very) slowly slide forward. I've been holding out hoping that Toyota might finally decide to make their OEM mats in different colors to match the interiors (do you hear me Toyota???), but I haven't seen/heard any news. Does anyone have the WeatherTech mats that are on the Prius Shop site??? If so, do they have the clip holes??? And do they cover the area well???
If you are refering to the Weathertech Floor Liners then your answers are Yes and Yes. They have holes for hooks and they cover the area quite well. The fit is near perfect even if the color is not. I am very happy with the Liners and I would purchase them again. They keep any water or mud I track into the car off the carpet and will contain any large spills of at least 24oz. Don't ask... lol
Thanks for your reply, F8L. You mention the color not being perfect -- they do sell 'tan'. Do you mean they have various colors, but the shades are a bit off??? That wouldn't bother me -- but Toyota's OEM black mats in my beige interior would. I'm adding this smilie for no other reason than it's so darn cute. :flock:
