I think the Prius space saver spare is the rim/tire combo I'm looking for. The application is to allow a race car to be loaded on a truck but the car's track is too wide. If the Prius uses a 4X100 with a T125/70D16 tire then I believe it will work. I have pixs of a wheel I got at a local salvage yard that I can e-mail to confirm the configuration.
Went and looked at a friend's Prius, yep, it's exactly the wheel I am looking for, EXCEPT, it's 5 lug, not the 4X100 I need. Anyone know of a space saver spare that's identical to the Prius but 4X100????????????????
Outside diameter is probably not the same, but the Classic Prius (01-03) used a 14" rim with a 4 x100 bolt circle. The current Prius (04 -09) uses a 15" or 16" rim with a 5 x 100 BC.
DG, Thx for the info, yeah, I need the 16" to clear the caliper, it's a Lotus Elise that I'm trying to load up on my truck and it's about 2" too wide at the tires. It'll be tight but with the much smaller and more inside offset, wheels such as the Prius space saver should do the trick. P.S. I did have a Prius until I went to the dark side, but I do ride my bicycle most the time if that helps with some absolution <g.?
