I was backing up last night. Suddenly a spider crawled across the backup camera! I don't startle easily, but that one made me yell "Holy Crap!"
That makes me want to put some spiders on my car just to see what they look like when they're on the camera. I've had one or two moments myself when something passes close to the camera. It's always startling.
This could be the start of a new fad! I remember when I was a little kid and my folks bought me a microscope. I'd look for the most disgusting things I could think of to place under that microscope. Now, we can put them on our cameral lenses and throw the cars in reverse. Hmmmm....I wonder what an earwig would look like?????
That's hilarious, thanks for sharing! I've had the same thing happen with a tiny spider managing to get into the focal plane of one of my large telescopes. :suspicious: :alien:
That's too funny! I know the feeling. One afternoon, years ago, I hopped in our Ford Club Wagon 8 passenger van, in a hurry to make it to the post office before it closed, backed out of the driveway, of course checking all mirrors, nothing. Pulled off an down the hill. Approaching a stop sign at the bottom of the hill, I checked the rear view mirror. I don't know who was more startled, me or the neighbors cat, who normally won't let anyone get anywhere near him. There he was arched back, hair standing on end, and I do mean standingon end, it was a long haired cat. He was up on the back of the rear bench seat and totally filled the view in the mirror. Looked just like one of those Halloween cats. Startled the daylights out of me. I had left the windows open to air out the van in the driveway and he must have thought it would be a nice place to look for small critters. After gathering my thoughts, I quickly closed the windows, power windows. Turned around and drove back to his driveway. Got out opened the door wide and stood back. There was a blur of fur. I rarely saw him around the van after that. No more cat footprints on the hoods of our cars. And in case you're interested, I just got my foot in the door at the post office as they were locking the door.
I routinely get spiders making webs across my backup camera. It's definitely a bit freaky, but kinda cool watching them work.
