    It always has been capable, but now that an amercan car is a potential player, its ok to say so.

    ... possibility of a 60% adoption rate of plug-in hybrids by 2050


    Hmm, by 2050 all cars will be electric. By that time oil reserves will be basically burned up, remaining reserves will be economically viable only for materials production and not anymore for burning as prices of oil will sky rocket.
