I got a set of cross bars for the roof rack of our Highlander. The instructions say to remove the end covers from the rear of the fore-aft oriented racks to install the crosbars in their tracks. It doesn't say HOW to remove these end covers, but it does say they are easily damaged. I'm guessing they snap on/off, but before I proceed- Has anyone done it?
I paid a visit to the dealer I bought them from and asked. The tech smiled and basically said...without actually saying it...that I can expect to break at least one of the end covers getting them off.
