I was thinking of purchasing a new 2008 Prius in the next few months. However, I just found out a local dealer is selling a 2008 used Prius (black) with 3184 miles (factory certified) for $22500. I think its a package 2 or 3. Is it worth buying a used car or just pay a few thousand extra and get a new one? Also does 22K seem reasonable for the used Prius? Any comments welcome. thanks, SM
Just checked the dealers website and it seems the same car is listed for 21.8K. On ebay its for 22K. So I guess I do have room to negotiate. SM
With the cratering of fuel prices, the bottom has fallen out of new Prius sales. What with the third generation Prius coming in the Spring, I think there will be great opportunities to buy one of the last `09s new, or used ones much less expensively than in the past. I for one plan to do that!
