When the heck is Toyota going to address the incorrect cell phone call log times? They know there is an issue yet don't seem to want to fix it.
Am I the only one that checks my Prius call log for my cell phone? The log shows times that are off by an hour or two (depending on daylight savings time). Toyota knows about this issue. It effects all Prius vehicles maybe even all Toyota's.
Does changing the DST settiing on the Prius correct the times? I have to change that setting so that the "Time to Arrival" view of the GPS isn't off by an hour. I suppose if they store the time as Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) then there would always be part of the lof off everytime DST starts or stops. To make it work right I think they would have to add a setting where you can set the date when DST starts and stops since that date is subject to change. They would also have to store the date/time as text or in some non UTC format, otherwise some part of the log will always be off ater you apply the time zone and DST factor.
The GPS time has nothing to do with the Cell Phone call log in the Prius. Make a call and see it for yourself.
I've never had a need to look at a call log, either on my phone, or the car. I can't imagine it being that big of a deal.
It is a big deal to me because Toyota knows about the issue yet isn't doing anything to correct it. When I pay for something, I expect it work as advertised.
