I sounds to me like auto journalists have a very easy life. Chief complaints: no free booze, CD's instead of USB drives, Male models, lesser manufacturers allowed on the main floor.... Yes, they have a couple of legitimate complaints but most of this is just pining for the "good old days".
It all comes down to expectations, at least this guy had the balls to tell his readers, "manufacturers ply us with hard liquor to get us to say good things about their product." This year they didn't, they relied on the vehicles. Auto shows are tough when you're not pickled.
The bummer for me was when I saw the Prius video behind Bob Carter at the unveil. The video aspect ratio was incorrect. Unlike the BossDowner's video, it was squished from the side.
I realize that I'll never be an auto writer ... I have no appreciation for painted sheet metal. All of the good stuff is under the hood and supporting the body of the car but these auto scribblers ... they see only the superficial parts. Bob Wilson
