Go to your dealership and check with the Parts Department where non-parts orders like brochures arrive. Chances are they're in a box under the counter somewhere. It's 20 glossy pages of double-edged excitement, as in when do I get mine (got the VIN but no ETA):
The solar panel is silly, but I'll admit it LOOKS great. Particularly on the whitish color car on the brochure cover. I think most of us know that this model, at least when viewed from 2011 or so, is only a small step from our current G2 cars compared to the coming PHEVs. And yet Toyota succeeds in making me keen for it dearly despite my very hardcore frugal nature. Thankfully I have the recession to keep me in check. Hats off to Toyota for making a truly inviting new generation Prius, even though the Big Thing (tm) isn't quite ready yet.
Nice, almost exactly how mine's going to look (though the photo has Bisque interior). Been dying to see the Blizzard Pearl/Solar roof combo ;-)
Rick, that's the same color I'm getting too. Here's another view from p. 2-3 of the brochure. No doubt Blizzard Pearl is the featured brochure color:
Nah, too much of a tease. Heck, this whole section is too much of a tease. ^ The words ... the actions - I go trotting down to Toyota this weekend .. hehe J/K .. already have a Prius
If you want to get an idea of what the roof will look like, go to a Toyota dealer and look a a white Scion Tc. Same type roof but of course no solar panels. Roy
Toyota needs to do something about the 2010 wheel covers. Little too dorkmobile looking. Suspect that tirerack will be getting some unexpected aftermarker alloy wheel business from 2010 Prius buyers.
"Window tint" in the photos (probably Photoshopped) looks great too - I aim to have mine done at 35% - enough to make a difference, but not enough to make visibility a nightmare at night.
Awesome voluptuous curves. They did a great job hiding the SKS buttons on the door handle. The circular gas tank door fits very well with the curves. The color contrast with the roof and rear spoiler keeps me noticed. The picture was taken from the "above" angle to see this contrast. However, in normal driving conditions most people will not see from this angle (unless you are really tall). We decided against Blizzard Pearl with the worry of government Prius using the same color.
I have 50% on my black one now and I'm going to do it again. Here in the city they do ticket blitzes at times for window tinting but either 50% isn't enough for them to care around here or they just figure hell he's in a Prius leave him alone It's not all that dark but it does make a difference... 35% was perfect; When I was stationed in Cali that's all I ever got for my cars.
Tell me about it, there are TONS of white DEP Prius' around the city... Heck, you have gotta see the roof of Lefrak where they all park. That's almost why I would not have cared if they charged a little extra for the Blizzard Pearl, it would have kept the city from ever ordering them! But maybe the city won't order any 2010's until the Prius I is released and maybe they'll only do that in a white, not a pearl coat... I just can't see city vehicles driving around with a pearl coat paint job.
Taking a peek @ the Japaneese brocure, the color codes 040 and 070 were available. 040 is Super White if I recall correctly and 070 is Blizzard Pearl. I'd imagine 040 would be available to fleet orders.
do not know, I can't read Japanese. Link was posted in another thread. Technical Shop GOTOU????????? - ?????????????
Well, I went and harassed my dealer today to get the 2010 brochure but no luck, they don't have them yet. I would LOVE to see all 20 pages scanned though! Pretty please?
