I got 33. But I don't think I should have to know the traffic laws in Iran, or the meaning of signs in Germany. And I think I disagree with the way they graded a couple of them.
36 / 45 But i really have to disagree with some of their answers... One way to save gas when driving is to: .. b) Remove the empty rack from the roof of your car. c) Refrain from using your cruise control. .. i would chose e) Both B and C are correct. Clearly they want B, but i can always get better mileage with C as well... In -20 C temperatures, the following will not happen: a) Sand will no longer be of use to increase traction. b) Wipers lose the ability to clear the windshield completely. c) Tire chains cease to be of use for traction. d) Snow tires lose the ability to grip into the snow. Anyone else have a problem here with the double negative? They want D, indicating that snow tires will not lose the ability to grip... but C would also work - chains will not cease to be of use (meaning they will continue to be of use).
At first I did not realize this was for Canada. Living in Southern California, I have lost my former NYC and Boston knowledge of driving in cold and snow. I have never seen the snowflake symbol warning of cold weather.
I got 37. Not bad, considering I've never been to any of those foreign lands, and have no idea what the liquor laws are. Some of the incorrect answers were funny, like "Now entering the town of snowflake." And what else could the silhouette of a polar bear inside a warning triangle mean? The international symbol signs were the easiest to understand, though the German ones didn't seem as clear.
Yeah I had an issue with those two... I don't know about sand not working in -20°C because it frequently stays below -20°C here for weeks on end. Eventually snow will get packed and sand will still give you grip. I know salt works up to -10°C
