Greetings Prius owners. Here at JP USA / VIZAGE, we are looking for a previous generation Toyota Prius for aero parts R&D. Our plan on 1st generation Toyota Prius aero kit will consists of front spoiler, side skirts, and rear under spoiler in our original OEM grade polyurethane material for proper fitment and duralibity. We can’t release any designs on public forums as of now, but we will be able to provide the design to the vehicle donor. We will need the vehicle for 7 days at our Ontario, CA facility no later than 29th of May (Friday). Owner must be able to drop off and pick up the vehicle from our Ontario facility. Donor will receive a complimentary full kit upon completion of the production model. We’re estimating the prototype to be completed around July/Aug of 2009. Once we confirm the fitment on the prototype, we will make any adjustments we’d need, if any, and start producing the production model. I would love to help, but I'm too far away. However, just to clarify for everyone else, you mean you want a 2004-2009 year model Prius (hatchback), also known as the "Iconic" Prius, correct? Because you also mention "first generation" which, at least in North America, refers to the 2001-2003 year model (sedan) "Classic" Prius.
Manksgloob, thanks for the clarification. Yes you're correct, we are making the kit for the 04-09 model Prius. Thanks for many PM regards to the R&D. We have decided to go with 2008 Prius from a local forum member. We will have the design finalized within the next few weeks after taking the measurements.
