I've been doing some research online about the pricing of the 2005 Prius. Some websites put MSRP $20,875 and Invoice $19,222. I know what MSRP means, but anybody know what they mean by Invoice? Thanks! Scott
Invoice is what the dealer supposedly pays for the car. That's before factory kickbacks, advertising incentives, finance deals, etc. Thay actually pay a few percent less than that number. Depending on where YOU live, you'll probably still be paying MSRP for a Prius. Some have claimed that they've gotten money off the MSRP, but many also say that they bought dealer installed options like leather, special wheels, paint sealers, etc. California has more Prius than anywhere else in the country and that's where you'll find some available under MSRP.
Ever see Cadillac Man with Robin Williams? He asked to see the invoice for an antique vase that he thought was overpriced.
