I'm 5'10", and my head scraped the head liner -- but then again, I have a long torso (read "short legs") in relation to my height. Have any of you been able to seat an adult male in the back seat? thanks as always; this is a great forum.
There was a six-footer in the back seat of my Prius yesterday, and he had plenty of headroom. His 5'10" dad was in the passenger seat in front of him, and both had enough room with the front seat slid up a bit.
i have a 2010 and i fit in the back with out to many problems. if i lean my head back i do hit the headlinner but this happens in almost all cars I'm 6'2'' it's good in my mind, and there is good legroom thats where i really have a problem, and i also have a long torso i wear 32 inseam pants
It's better than most midsize cars on the market. I adjust the front seat for where I drive and I still am comfortable in the back. 6'2". Considerably more roomy than the CTS, 3 series BMW and A4
I am 6'3" and have no problem with leg room in the rear seat but I find there is not quite enough head room for me.
I'm 6'0'' with long legs and found the back seat in the 2010 comfortable when I went shopping. The front legroom on our 2005 is another matter, entirely. But that's off-topic for this thread.
Welcome southjerseycraig ! Um, did you adjust the driver's seat height ? ... or maybe you didn't know that you can? Only 5'-10" ? . . . baah ... that smoking must have stunted your growth 6'-5" here . . . 36" inseam, so that's a 50/50 leg-torso ratio Hmm ... seems like all the posts so far are from so so height folks ... Lemy see if I can pony up a definitive rear seat answer for you still have head room front seat moved back ... still have knee room Next question .
I am 6'1/2". When I tried the 2010 last week, I fitted ok in the back seat, but same as you: when I leaned by head back, I hit the headliner. In my civic it is not as bad. My wife is just a bit shorter that I am, and the ceiling height is more of a constraint for her. I guess it depends a lot on the ratio torso / legs length. I have to add though: the driver seat height and the steering adjustment features are great for me. I was not comfortable enough in the GenII to buy one. Now I wish they would also make the passenger seat height adjustable in the GenIII.
