I'm excited to see what companies/people come up with for the 2010 model. Will it be updated versions of whats already available, or new items. Curious I am What do you think?
I was wondering about body side moldings. I had them installed on my 2009, and they look great. Due to the body design changes on the 2010, I wonder how long it would take for these to become available? And would they even look good on the 2010s?
Personally I dont think they would considering they moved that indent down all the way to the bottom of the door, but I never liked the body side moldings to begin with so it's probably just me. I'm interested to see those molding pieces available from Toyota for the bottom of the doors which give it the 'Lexus hybrid look".
those illuminated door seals cost about $450 or so... from what i've been told. check to see if it comes with a package V... with all the added cost.. but it may just be optional.
Door sills: $359 MSRP port installed. $269 at the parts counter is what I saw in another post. Hopefully Danny gets them up on the PC store as that's how I intend to get them. I downloaded the install instructions a week or so ago - it's just a couple of tee connectors to a wiring harness on each side and routing of wires.
When I get my PIII, I've got to have some fog lamps installed. I wish the face plates were body colored so they wouldn't stand out so much.
After putting my first bright shiny new car alongside my old college car (bought by parents), I suddenly realized the old one had collected about 2 or 3 door dings per inch, the full length of both sides. Then I vowed to never have a car without body side molding. And at 23 years, my current oldest car has collected only a tiny fraction of what that college car got in just 6 years. Because any new car is expected to stay with my household for nearly two decades, some protection is a must. So, somebody get some sort of 2010 Prius side protection available pronto!
You gotta go to the Toyota tech info site and pay $15 for a 2 day subscription. Then you can view and if you want download the pdf files for that amongst all other thing like the 2010 manual, specification, maintenance schedule etc. https://techinfo.toyota.com/
Went to local dealership this morning for a Prius III, Nav pkg in Barcelona Red (due in September). He stated a third party was already coming up with a cover for the Navigation screen due to the glare.
I purchased side mouldings at PC Shop for $122 shipped. PriusChat Shop : 2010 Toyota Prius Body Side Moldings [FE-PRI10] - $122.00 I had them installed at a trusted body shop for $40. It took them a little less than a 1/2 hour. Attached is a photo with them installed. The local dealer by the way was willing to sell and install them for the discounted price of $400. I saved close to $250 by not taking their discount.
