I know that it takes 10 minutes after locking doors for the ventilation to become active, but I have a couple other questions out of curiosity... 1) Is the ventilation system triggered simply at the 10 minute mark (if there is enough solar energy to power it), or does it come on when a certain temperature is reached? 2) Does the ventilation system continue running nonstop as long as there is enough solar energy to power it, or does it ever pause for breaks? I had my windows tinted a couple days ago and left my car out in the sun to help dry and bake on the tint. I must say that the car was definitely not as hot as it should have been for sitting in the direct sun for hours. It was by all means still "warm" or even "hot" (in comparison to not being in the sun), but that "This is HOT!!" sweltering wave of heat that my previous car would supply is gone. Coupled with the remote A/C, it is definitely a luxurious comfort.
1) I recall interior has to be 10 degrees above exterior temp (C or F?) 2) I think it goes when it can go. If I leave work later, closer to sunset, it won't be on anymore but maybe the timing is such that the temp differential is no longer there either. I park at the beach for work, and the car lives in the driveway when I'm not at work, so the roof is a definite necessary luxury with the dark grey interior.
