I saw it already on PBS. They liked the Prius better but you really have to take that show w/a big grain of salt. They hardly ever say anything very negative about any car, let alone give them a negative summary/conclusion. http://www.mpt.org/motorweek/reviews/rt2843a.shtml looks virtually like a transcript. I haven't compared it directly as I deleted the ep from my TiVo already.
From a technical standpoint, this part has me scratching my head: 44.7 mpg - Insight, 40/43 46.9 mpg - Prius, 51/48 So I found their review of the 2004 Prius. One gem, appropriate for another thread, was this from their long-term view: Thanks again, Bob Wilson
Hi Bob, Yea, I was flipping through channels (all 40 of them on OTA DTV!) and saw them diss the 2010 Prius for being only 2 mpg better last night. You know they gotta be labelling the brakes to achieve such poor mileage.
MotorWeek isn't on the same wavelength as people in So. Cal. While MANY people, myself included, have been searching for a Prius under C4C a local Honda store has 124 INSIGHTS in stock according to their website. The store is DCH Honda of Oxnard (Ca.). Not sure what Honda did or didn't do but it sure seems they made a big error. Carl
