Freaking sweet! Damn, I am so wanting a plug in, it's not even funny... All my commutes to work, and all my local stuff I do on the island here would be perfect for a plug in... Soon, oh hopefully soon... But then what to do with the 2010 lol

Edit: Is anyone else not getting sound from these video's?

No sound for me. Cute animations and graphics although there are a few issues. Why does the "dad" in the last part of the film have the same long fingernails as the "mum" and how did the Prius magically turn itself around cause she drove the car in head-first =P.

Seriously though, that's cool. A larger battery pack means we'll probably have to give up the underfloor storage and maybe the spare tyre as well. Also, what's the new item in the middle of the car when they were showing the animation of power flowing from the plug-in charger to the battery?

Video-1 has music, but nothing meaningful about the car at all.
    It's a real wast of time/an opportunity:

First I thought that would be AC to DC inverter but the Prius has one already (AC MGs to DC Battery).

Could it be a ultra capacitor pack for sudden burst of acceleration to reduce ICE from kicking in?

Hmm... I have absolutely no clue. I'm not very good with circuitry.

i think its the charger to charge the plugin pack
because the prius inverter will not be sutable for this.

Is it because MG1 and MG2 operates at 650V AC and the wall plug is 120V or 240V?

instead of redesiging the inverter to be used as a charger there is a new module to do that under the floor of the car.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have the inverter in the charger base, rather than mounted on the car (adding more weight)?

    inverter in the charger base?
you mean have the charger on the external mount where you get the plug from?

i think you will have a fast external charge and this internal slow charge.
this way you can also plug it in at locations where there is no external charge port.

That is neat, not only does the car recharge with plug in but it turns around in the garage for you so you never have to back in or back out. I could use that for my 007 fast get aways.

LOL, I noticed that inconsistency as well. It left "head out" and went back in with "head in".
