Hello, There doesn't seem to be any threads on this question, so forgive me if it has been asked. I took delivery of my 2010 Prius last week and in the glove box along with the assorted manuals was a zip-lock bag with a canvas strap for the spare tire along with directions on how to install it. What this something the dealer forgot to install? Is it necessary? I can't imagine why it is in there and not already installed. Thanks in advance, Jay
It's there for when you use the spare tire. Only the small spare fits into the storage spot under the hatch floor. If you use the spare, the flat tire and wheel get strapped down since they can't go back into the well. Tom
