I am loving my Prius too. I am currently getting 47.4mpg. I can't complain, considering the cold weather we have had. I didn't get an extended warranty. I decided to take my chances. I have had Toyota's before. We had a Camry that had 182,500 miles with no issues, just regular maintenance. I love the Prius. I can't imagine driving anything else.
That's great! I would have loved to have a IV level Prius with Solar. I love my level II. I'm sure that you'll love yours. Can't wait to see pics! ;)
thanks --- did you happen to go to the www.nhtsa .dot.gov website. --- the complaints are coming in. I hope you don't have the problem with yours! I'm calling the nhtsa now to find out more.
No, I haven't noticed any problems with my Prius. I only have about 300 miles on it, but I love the Prius so far. I recently read some online reviews from some big names (Car & Driver, Motorweek, etc...) and they all give the Prius a 10 out of 10 for reliability. I'm not terribly shocked at their rating, but it is comforting to see what I have thought all along. For what it's worth, I wouldn't worry about it. If it is what you want to do, pull the trigger and buy it. You won't be sorry.
