I've had my tint since June 2010. The dealership installed with a lifetime warranty. My tint in the back are 50% tint and the front are 80%. The higher the percentage means how much light is allowed through the tint. So to say, a 5% tint allows very little light and is the darkest available. I've been pulled over before and never had a ticket for neither. It depends on the cop. As far as smoking the tail lights, it is illegal but I doubt cops will be picking on Prius drivers. The reason I got stopped was for not having front license plate. But I got out of that too, as I explained that it inhibits the aerodynamics of the vehicle since the 2010 Prius is the most advanced and aerodynamic production vehicle to date. I just made it seem interesting and he just laughed it off and told me to put it on when I get a chance.
