The recall covers applying updated software to lessen the chance that the inverter fails. Replacing the inverter is only as a last resort.
If you "accept" the holes then the dealer wins. Just because they may not be visible doesn't mean they wouldn't affect the car's value if/when...
The only issue I have with my Gen III tonneau cover is the skid mark right down the middle...
